Crimson Desert, the most anticipated game of 2021(open world)

 

The Crimson Desert is being developed with the goal of launching in the fall of 2021.

It is an ambitious work expected by Pearl Abyss, a South Korean developer, and its genre is an open world action adventure.

From the originally planned MMORPG (multi-user online role-playing game) to an open-world genre such as the famous Skyrim and Witcher series, the hearts of gamers tired of the frustration of MMORPGs are exciting.

Just looking at the trailer for the preview raises a lot of anticipation to the point of doubting whether this game was really developed by a korean domestic game company.

Real fun comes from reality. Reality, which represents'possible', amplifies immersion in the game, so reality can be said to be fundamental among the basics in the fantasy genre. The characters also look like everywhere, and the clothes they wear are scruffy rags like the Middle Ages, the sword is rusted and the metal armor is crushed somewhere. On the other hand, the monsters we have to deal with are so violent, harsh, and ruthless, and overwhelming the protagonists who are wearing ugly rags with their existence. Wouldn't the fun come from just those things?

This Crimson Desert is a game that deviates greatly from such a peculiar unrealistic description of existing Korean games, so I am very excited.

Hunting giant monsters

In previous games, it was all about swinging a sword and shooting a bow at monsters, but in the trailer released this time there are scenes that are far from such simplicity. A scene where you climb on the back of a monster and stabbing! I think I can enjoy dynamic action like watching a movie.

Seeing this scene reminded me of a scene where two hobbits climbed up on their backs to deal with cave trolls in The Lord of the Rings. I think it was one of the efforts to properly snipe the taste of fantasy enthusiasts.
